These used, vintage, linen guest towels are another excellent example of counted cross-stitch embroidery which requires a background of even warp and weft fabric, such as the linen here, in order to give the proper effect. In addition, these towels exhibit polychrome hemstitching in the same colors as the cross-stitch. The green & pink is 27 ½” long x 18” wide and the blue & yellow is 29 12” x 17”, a useful size for guest towels.
