2 - I. Magnin Madeira embroidered fingertip towels

This offer comprises 2 exquisitely hand-embroidered Madeira ecru fingertip towels, NOS with tags from I. Magnin still intact. They are 8 ¼” x 14” in size and the embroidery depicts a very typical Madeira motif of a flower basket employing a padded satin stitch in pink, green, and tan threads.  The scalloped edges are done in a buttonhole stitch, also in tan thread.  We have not laundered these in order to preserve the original tags, but they would benefit from a light soaking to restore their original luster.

I.Magnin was the premier luxury department store at Union Square in San Francisco.  It was founded in 1876 and we will forever mourn the day that it closed its doors in 1994.
