Pair of rustic homespun large European linen pillow cases/shams

Here are two large German homespun embroidered and monogrammed linen pillow shams/cases that could have come from a farm household where these linens were made at home.  They are circa 29 1/2" x 30 1/2" and the buttoned closure is one the side, not the bottom of the cases.  At least some if not all of the buttons have been replaced at one time or another.  We believe these cases have some age to them, maybe turn of the previous century, to judge from the embroidery and the monogram.  Please note small stains, rust?, in the pictures. These are all on the reverse sides, not the front of the cases. They'd look right at home in a rustic cottage or farmhouse setting.  Shabby chic all the way.
